A Wisconsin company announces that it will install microchips on its employees.

A Wisconsin company announced this week that it plans to install microchips to its employees, but has insisted there will be no GPS tracking.

Three Square Market, a company dedicated to software design, is about to become the first in the United States to offer microchip implants to its employees.

According to a statement from a statement, the microchip implementation program will be optional for employees and the company will start doing it as of August 1.

The implanted chip, known as Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID), will allow workers to make purchases in its micro market, open doors, access computers or use the photocopier among other things.

The company expects about 50 workers to implant microchips in their hands.

Each chip has a cost of about 250 euros and the company will pay for it. Westby said the data will be encrypted and will be secure. They have also stressed that there will be no GPS tracking.

Blue Origin tests its capsule with windows for tourists with success

Blue Origin has successfully launched its crew-able suborbital capsule, a prototype that has large windows for the enjoyment of future space tourists.

 

The company is owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and launched the capsule this past December 12 in West Texas.
